Here's what we are doing to manage the environmental impacts of this event.

• Medals are made from 100% recycled zinc.
• A JogOn donation point in the Assembly Area. JogOn, collects unwanted running shoes and redistributes pairs that still have life in them to organisations in the UK and overseas.
• Tap water refill is provided at the Assembly Area and at the finish.
• A bike park is available at the Assembly Area.
• 83% of event vehicles are fully electric.
• Volunteer-staffed Recycling Stations to collect and separate waste for maximum recycling.
• Buxton Natural Mineral Water bottles are made of 100% recycled plastic (excluding cap and label) and are collected separately, returned to Buxton and recycled into new bottles. These are 250ml bottles, specially produced for London Marathon Events by Buxton and are designed to help save water and plastic.
