The Course 2024

The course

Before Event Day, familiarise yourself with the route

Here's what’s on offer, from toilets to the fan zone.

Arrive ready to run

Only bring items that you’re able to run, job or walk with as we can’t look after your belongings.

Toilets

There are toilets at the Assembly Area at Horse Guards Parade.

Finish line

It will take between six and 20 minutes to reach the Finish Line.

Medical stations

There are medical stations along the route. If a child or young person is injured or unwell, our team will contact the designated adult listed on their wristband.

Accompanying children

If a child is Year 3 or above, they can take part independently, but they will need to be accompanied by an adult to their start pen and collected at the Finish. They will be kept in the Participant Collection Area until their designated adult arrives.

Larger groups should have sufficient adults to supervise everyone. If you are an accompanying adult, you can take your group to the start pens, run with them, and then round-up your group at the Finish.

Where to watch

Supporters can watch from Birdcage Walk or in front of Buckingham Palace. There’s also a Public Grandstand on The Mall. You can also visit the fan zone and watch your loved one cross the Finish Line via a live stream on the Main Stage screen.

Need a moment?

The Reflection Space at Horse Guards Parade will be split into two sections: Multi Faith Prayer Space and Sensory Calm Space. The faith space is open to any religion or anyone who may need to take time to reflect. The calm space is available for people who are neurodivergent or need a moment away from noise.

There is also a Parent and Child Space area available at Horse Guards Parade aimed at those with children under five.
