London Marathon Medical Conference to take place on Saturday 1 October 2022
The 38th annual London Marathon Medicine Conference, which will focus on the medicine and science of marathon running, will take place this year on Saturday 1 October – the day before the 2022 TCS London Marathon. All those who work in healthcare or in a science-related field are warmly invited to join.

The conference will feature a panel of sports scientists and medics with extensive experience in the science and medicine of endurance running, all of whom will present their latest research to delegates.
Talks will include ‘Strategies to improve the durability of masters runners’ by Dr Richard Willy MPT, PhD from the University of Montana, USA, and ‘What makes Kipchoge so good? The fourth dimension in the physiology of marathon running’ by Professor Andy Jones from the University of Exeter.
