London Marathon Events has announced a major three-year partnership with high-protein brand GetPRO across four of its mass participation events, including the TCS London Marathon.
GetPRO is now the Official Yoghurt Partner of the TCS London Marathon and the TCS London Marathon MyWay, as well as the Brighton Marathon and The Big Half, from 2025 to 2027.
GetPRO was also announced as the Official Title Partner of the Bath Half, which was acquired by LME in February 2024.
The GetPRO Bath Half opens LME’s 2025 spring season of events on Sunday 16 March, followed in April by the Brighton Marathon Weekend and the TCS London Marathon.
More than 100,000 participants have now started their new year training plans for these events and LME’s partnership with GetPRO will ensure they get the very best information on nutrition and how to eat right and recover well.
An essential part of half-marathon or marathon training is ensuring you recover well between training sessions or events, and getting enough protein is key for this. Designed for people who want to get more out of their training, the GetPRO range features eleven high-protein snacks including delicious and healthy yoghurts, drinks, puddings, pouches and mousses. With added Magnesium and Vitamin B9, GetPRO can support recovery of muscle and reduction of fatigue.*
Tom Hickton, Category Director Dairy at Danone, said: “Since our launch in the UK in September 2023, GetPRO’s ambition has been to support everyone as they progress on their fitness journey, which is why we’re so excited to become the Official Yoghurt Partner of the TCS London Marathon, Brighton Marathon and The Big Half, plus the Title Partner of the Bath Half. Whether you're running the marathon or taking inspiration from the thousands of runners taking on the challenge, GetPRO emphasizes the importance of the moments between active exercise. It's not just about training; it's about getting the right nutrition, building strength, and recovering well. With guidance from a team of experts, GetPRO will help guide participants of this year’s events through build-up to race day, sharing their insights on how to maximise moments in between those all-important runs and celebrating the small victories along the journey, not just the big milestones.”
Hugh Brasher, CEO of London Marathon Events, said: “We are delighted to welcome GetPRO as the Official Yoghurt Partner of the TCS London Marathon, the Brighton Marathon and The Big Half, and as the Title Partner of the Bath Half. Preparing for a marathon or half-marathon is a challenge in itself and one crucial element to get right is nutrition. As our Official Partner, GetPRO will help our participants achieve this by providing the products and expertise that ensure their protein levels remain topped up throughout training and give them the best chance to be the best version of themselves on Event Day.”
To encourage the nation to get running this January, GetPRO has today launched its ‘In it for the long run’ Strava challenge. Participants who complete two runs a week for four consecutive weeks will be in with a chance to win a place in the 2025 or 2026 TCS London Marathon.
This year’s TCS London Marathon, the 45th edition of the world’s most popular marathon, takes place on Sunday 27 April together with the TCS London Marathon MyWay, which enables people to take part by completing the 26.2 miles wherever they are in the world on Marathon Day.
The GetPRO Bath Half takes place on Sunday 16 March followed by the Brighton Marathon Weekend, which also includes the Brighton Miles and Brighton and Hove 10K, over the weekend of 5 and 6 April.
The Big Half, London’s community half marathon, takes place on Sunday 7 September.
