The 2025 TCS London Marathon will incorporate the UK Athletics (UKA) Marathon Championships.
It will also serve as the marathon trial race for the 2026 European Championships and 2027 World Championships.
Among the British athletes taking part in the 2025 TCS London Marathon are Eilish McColgan, Rose Harvey, Charlotte Purdue, Mahamed Mahamed, Phil Sesemann and Alex Yee.

Also, confirming the trial races for the major championships in 2026 and 2027 ensures athletes can factor this into their race programmes. 2025 TCS London Marathon: Elite field updates
Ross Braden (GBR), who has a marathon PB of 2:14:32 from 2022, has been added to the elite men’s field for the 2025 TCS London Marathon.

TCS London Marathon pacemakers
In the elite men’s race, dual-sport international Hugo Milner, who has represented Great Britain in triathlon and athletics, is among a group of domestic pacemakers which also includes Ben Connor, Ollie Lockley and Charles Wheeler. Abdisa Tola (ETH), the 2023 Dubai Marathon champion, is among the lead group pacemakers.
In the elite women’s race, Catherine Reline Amanang’ole (KEN), the 2024 Abu Dhabi Marathon champion, is among the lead pacemakers while Great Britain distance internationals Sam Harrison and Amy-Eloise Neale are among the domestic pacemakers.
