Brighton Marathon Weekend prize money

The Brighton Marathon and Brighton & Hove 10K offer prize money and trophies for the top three male and female finishers.

Anyone who feels they are in contention to finish in the top three places in either event should position themselves at the front of first wave.

Please note that gun time (not chip time) is used to determine the podium places for both the Brighton Marathon and Brighton & Hove 10K. 

The competitive elements of the Brighton Marathon Weekend are run under World Athletics rules which recognise two sexes in competition: male and female. 

The total prize fund for the 2025 Brighton Marathon Weekend is £3,200. The breakdown is as follows:

  

Brighton Marathon  

  • First place £500 
  • Second place £300 
  • Third place £200  

 

Brighton & Hove 10K  

  • First place: £300 
  • Second place: £200 
  • Third place: £100
